We are located almost exactly between two of the most renowned fishing locations in the world – Pinas Bay and Hannibal Bank. Although these destinations can easily be reached by boat from Los Buzos, the trip is not necessary. Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphinfish, Grouper, Snapper, Wahoo and Snook are all available just off our beaches – In addition to the ever-present schools of yellow fin tuna that caused this stretch of coast to be named "The Tuna Coast."
These rich fishing grounds are not accidental. Los Buzos lies at the southernmost point of Panama - a the point where cold currents from Ecuador collide with warm Costa Rican currents flowing in the opposite direction. This natural convergence means that the current "edge" sought after by bill fishing anglers is always nearby. Add to these currents the many inshore seamounts and the fact that 2000 foot deep water comes as close as 2 miles from shore and it creates the perfect conditions for anglers.
