He’s been addicted to fishing since the age of 4 and started kayak fishing in 2015 and fell in love with the feeling of sitting on top of the water and reeling in beasts.
Today he does most of his kayak fishing in the Topsail Island Sound and BTB in the Atlantic Ocean. His top three catches from the kayak have been a Trophy Rooster at 54″, Trophy Cubera at 44″ and a Bull Red Drum at 42″. His top 3 bucket list fish currently are Sailfish, Marlin, and Wahoo.
Joe impressed all of us here at Los Buzos when he caught several big cuberas and roosterfish during Robert Field’s week in August. He then decided on the spot to compete in our second qualifier for the championship which was the following week. During the qualifier we encountered some rough conditions but he still managed to catch some great fish and crushing all of the competitors. Will he do the same in the championship final?
Curious to see who else will be competing in the championship?
